Metamorphosis

The soul flickers away
All hopes go to waste
Dreams die out
Beliefs begin to change

I see the world with different eyes
I lose myself and wear a disguise
And everyone around me does the same
I try to find myself but realize it has been too late

My aspirations have already drowned away
In seas of wisdom that has killed all hope
I'm living a life lived before
By people who have no mind or soul

And then I see a ray of light
They call it love, I call it a lie
It makes me live a life again
As what it feels I am now and not of what I was then

I haven't found a meaning in life for so long
cause nothing is right and nothing is wrong
While the fear of loss lingers like a song
It is the pain of it that makes me belong
And this fear is the only truth that has a dept
Since life is a metaphor of death
